Makers Social founder Megan Pando had one opportunity to submit her business for consideration on Shark Tank.

The challenge was not simply explaining the company. It was making Meg and the business impossible to forget.

The brief

Good Looks was brought in to produce the submission video, but the work quickly became about more than production.

Makers Social already had the ingredients: a unique concept, a charismatic founder, and a story worth telling. We helped shape those ingredients into a pitch that felt energetic, memorable, and unmistakably Meg.

“The best submission video I've seen.”

The creative

We developed the narrative, shaped the pitch, and created the moments that would stick. Instead of filming another founder talking into a camera, we built a short story around the personality of the business.

That approach produced one line in particular: “Are you a regular old shark... or are you a hammerhead?”

The result

The video helped Makers Social earn a place on national television and, ultimately, a deal with Kevin O'Leary.

As shared with Makers Social, an executive producer said it was the best submission video he had seen during his time producing Shark Tank.

““Great creative creates great opportunity.””
